What if i say Hey friends!! Let’s go to the factory and party?? Really? Can we do that? Well that was my first reaction when i heard of this uber cool place in the town, located in Rajouri garden.
Factory is a building or group of buildings where goods are manufactured or assembled chiefly by machine. Boring!!! Isn’t?? But do not worry as this factory ensures fun instead of work.
Thanks to Udit Bagga and Udit Bhasin who changed a boring concept of factory into fun and for actually laying down a factory where boredom is abandon. This dynamic duo has once again served the F&B industry with a creative venture which is all ready to rock.
The look of the place is just normal factory look alike but is indeed very neat. The roof on one side is made up of hanging drums and oil barrels. The use of cast iron and iron furniture add to its rustic look. The cutlery used portrays spanners and wrenches. The servers wear utility belts around their waist just like a helper in a common factory. All this reminds me about a visit to a plastic hardware manufacturing factory.
The food menu has all the variant cuisines as per the visitors taste and choice. It not only includes the drooling indian food but even excels in executing other cuisines like Mexican, oriental and American. A hearty applause to the Chef Sanjeev Takyar who curated the menu so well.
To kick-start your internal greasing on a healthy note Caesar salad and pineapple salad are perfect. Both the salads are produced using fresh lettuce, olives, pineapple and are presented in a edible and flaky bowls. Chicken & coriander pesto bruschetta is a crispy lip smacking appetizer to further grease up your stomach engine. Mezze platter had some good Lebanese snacks presented with different dips. Veg shawarma roll is the heroic component in the platter.
Veg/Non veg Dimsums are stuffed with mushroom & spinach and chicken coriander giving a delightful taste in mouth. Singapuri chilly fish is made in a street style of Singapore with good flavours and taste. Mushroom chilly garlic is a hit and hot combo which can be relished with drinks. Half and half pizza is a special recommendation of the chef in which the both veg n non veg delights can be enjoyed. Veg toppings include fresh veggies where as pesto chicken base pizza works wonders in non veg.
Drink and drive is not a good combination but drink and dine is a safe option to choose. The signature cocktails like Bourbon tea ni, Indian ocean are worth a try. The refreshing Mocktails like factory delight, Pyaare Mohan masala soda and Factory rock are good options to choose over alcohol.
For the mains black bean sauce chicken with steam rice and veg noodles is a perfect execution of authentic oriental cuisine. Mexican chicken with cous cous salad is an average dish and can be relished more if cooked in a more authentic manner. The Chalti ka Naam gaadi acos were nicely done.
After fueling the body with different cuisines, the craving for sweets cannot be controlled. Classic combo of brownie with ice cream was devoured very well…. Though Tiramisu was not made as it should have been made, so we avoided it.
This factory comes as a workplace for foodies and party people where weekends are meant to enjoy rather than setting them as an off and no Monday blues are dragged. Indeed a happening place with unusual yet realistic concept, great music and food. A must visit place for the young at heart !!
